NEWS AND UPDATES

Happy Pride Month Silversound Family!

Now that we’re all settled in at our new location, Silversound Guitar can start showing off some of our new services and offerings. Our new performance space not only offers parents, family and friends the chance to catch their musicians playing live, but it also does double duty as a recording studio for local artists or people who want us to record for them.

Welcome to Silversound Guitar
We’ve invested in a bunch of new equipment: The fastest computer we could find, Shure and Sennheiser microphones for vocals, guitars, and drums, all run through a Behringer X32 console, with a variety of recording software like Ableton, Slate Digital and plugin alliance. Our studio engineers, Jessie and Kyle, are available to mix, master and provide clients with radio ready tracks for a variety of applications. Contact us at info@silversoundguitar.com to schedule an audio consult today. If you’re interested in learning audio engineering yourself, Jessie and Kyle are also offer individual lessons. You can reach them at info@silversoundguitar.com to schedule lessons.

In addition to offering recording services for personal projects, Silversound will be able to record recitals and student performances when those resume later this summer.

Our First Silversound Spotlight was a HIT!

This month we debuted our Silversound Spotlight series, where we invite music industry professionals to come in and give one-off classes on their experiences and specialties. On June 11, Kevin Rodela provided a 2 hour long class on the ins and outs of instrument maintenance.

Silversound Guitar sessions Colorado Springs

Kevin has been a fixture in the Colorado Springs music scene for decades, and is one of the most respected luthiers in town. Kevin has played in a host of local bands over the years, and has offered his repair expertise at a number of local music shops over the years. Now in business for himself, Kevin walked us through the basics of instrument repair and maintenance.

A good setup on a guitar or bass can make a huge difference for players of all skill levels. Setting intonation, adjusting the truss rod and pickup heights, and performing basic maintenance on frets and fretboards can make all the difference between an instrument that plays like butter and one that consistently frustrates you. Kevin shared his years of wisdom and expertise during an invaluable session for players of all skill levels.
